Recently Closed Widget
It would be a widget that shows recently closed tabs.
If you need any help with development, let me know.

This is included in V2.1 which I just released, everyone should be updated within a day.
Thank you for your patience,
Avi

Oh as as for development tools, I would recommend Brackets or LightTable. As an added bonus, they integrate chromium so you can debug on chromium while do your browsing on Firefox or whatever.

Would you like to carry this discussion over to github? This is evolving into a more technical discussion for most users.

That is definitely possible. Actually, I'm 90% sure that it is the only possible way of doing it. There is an existing extension here: https://code.google.com/p/recently-closed-tabs/source/browse/trunk/background.html And it doesn't look too hard to port. However, after the latest episode, I'm having doubt about using chrome any longer. Feel free to ask me if you would like it ported over.
On second thought, is it possible to hijack the new tab page and go from there? Like restructuring the bookmark bar / closed tabs and add your own widgets. This way we don't have to lose existing functionalites.
