I’ve added this in V2.1 which I’m still working on, I hope to release it in a few weeks (I still have a lot of features to add).

It works like a normal widget, except that it has it’s own sub-cards and a transparent background.

I’ve been looking into this and I found a way to enable the Google Now API.

The card formatting the API provides isn’t the best and it doesn’t provide all cards shown on Android, but this looks like it’s definitely possible.

I’m thinking it should be added as a widget with a completely transparent background and individual cards inside. I can also build it so it can be used with a flexible column and fill the entire tab.

I don’t think there’s a need for notifications since Chrome now provides them itself.

The cards wouldn’t look as good as they do on Android but they should be quite functional.

I’m going to try to get this in with V2.1.

I’ve been looking into this and I’ve found an issue. Apparently the API application (iChrome) needs to enable the API, but since Sebastian Mauer’s POC worked there must be a way.

Doing it as just a widget wouldn’t be enough, I’m thinking it’ll have to be a special tab that would pretty much match the Google Now tablet interface.

I also may or may not do notifications, I might also do in-extension notifications but I’m not sure.

This looks VERY interesting, I’ve been poking around the code and API and it seems pretty stable.

If I did this there probably wouldn’t be notifications (Chrome does those automatically anyway) and it would be as one widget that would split itself into multiple ones.

I’m very busy with work, but I’ll see if I can find a way to do this.
