This has been added and should be included in the next release.

@Mike Reynolds, Most things can be used this way, but widgets have matching designs and load faster and offline. I've been planning on designing this like the onebox shown in search results (http://i.imgur.com/4NSAMSI.png), except with inputs where it shows a static address.
Google has a simple API for this that should have everything, except maybe the time with traffic.

Much of what's needed here may already exist in iChrome by using iframes. I have an iframe running showing me traffic via a custom Google Maps URL.

I've actually had plans for a widget like that in the works for a little while, but I've had to work through requested features first so I haven't had a chance to really focus on it.
I'll keep this idea open for voting to see what kind of interest it generates.

Hi Avi, thanks. I'd be just a maps tool as in iGoogle. So just a field where you put the adress/directions you look for, Google maps results (on the maps with possible directions) are then shown inline in the widget on iChrome... Would be great, i miss this feature :) kind regards roberto
